Continuing Sunny’s red trend, here is the serenly elegant mother of Maharaja HH Krishna Raja Wadiyar IV: the Maharani Regent HH Vani Vilasa Sannidhana, by an unknown palace artist.  The portrait above her shows her late husband, Maharaja Chamaraja IX of Mysore, who died when only 31 years old.  The rich saree is truly scintillating!  And I adore the neat little pleats on the floor.How does
